Learn about Fox Country Store
In 1977, brothers Ben and Max Fox along with their wives Faye and
Jeanette purchased Johnson & Company. This locally owned store
carried everything from dry goods, groceries, feed, seed, and even had a
butcher that cut locally grown meats. Ben's son , Jeff, managed the
store for several years along with his mother, Faye.
Today, the store is
known as Fox Country Store and is managed by Max's children, Max Foxx
II and Amy Johnson along with their families. Fox Country Store takes
you back in time when life was simpler. The original squeaky floors and
the bench where all the locals gathered to hear the town's news and
gossip are still there today. The store is a historic part of Burnsville
that offers unique products ranging from feed for your animals to gifts
for that special person.
